ABOUT SUMMER:
Gidday! My name is Summer. I'm a part-time artist and full-time Mum, based in the Waihopai Valley, Marlborough at the top of the South Island of New Zealand. I specialise in painting hunting and wildlife scenes common to NZ. I paint in watercolours, oils and acrylics to create original pieces of art. My works, which are for sale through this website and also at The Slip Inn Restaurant in Havelock, Sounds Reflections on Rapaura Road, Waimea Estate's Cafe' In The Vineyard in Richmond and a few other places here and there, are becoming more and more popular everyday!
While I paint mainly hunting and wildlife scenes such as boars and pig dogs, stags and hinds, wild horses, birds, thar, chamois, goats, etc., I have also taken a keen interest in copper and enjoy the challenges of working with metal!
ABOUT JASE:  Hey, my name is Jase. Ever since I was young, I've been right into drawing. My Nana, a wonderful artist and amazingly talented woman, was a great inspiration to me and I have taken her favourite medium, pyrography (or woodburning), and made it my own with my individual style of art. I'm a keen hunter and wildlife enthusiast, hence the main subject of my work - NZ wildlife. Stags, boars, thar, chamois, goats, etc. I like to bring my subjects to life through their expression, their stance.
 I use native NZ timber for my work, which includes wall plaques, coaster sets, chopping blocks, hunting trophies, clocks, signs, photo albums...pretty much anything!
I also like to draw different subjects like dogs, cats, horses, pet portraits, writing, homesteads, etc. Happy to do commissioned work, so if there's anything you'd like done, let me know!
